PEDICURE

PEDICURE:

A pedicure is a beauty treatment specifically for the feet and toenails. Similar to a manicure but focused on the feet, a pedicure typically includes the following steps:

Soaking: The feet are soaked in warm water to soften the skin and nails, often with added salts, oils, or other treatments to enhance relaxation and skin conditioning.

Nail Trimming and Shaping: Toenails are trimmed and shaped to the desired length and style. Proper trimming helps prevent ingrown toenails.

Cuticle Care: Cuticles around the toenails are softened, pushed back, and sometimes trimmed for a neat appearance.

Exfoliation: The feet are exfoliated to remove dead skin cells, focusing on areas prone to calluses and roughness. This step often includes using a pumice stone, foot file, or scrub.

Moisturizing: Feet are moisturized with lotions or creams to keep the skin soft and hydrated. This step may include a foot massage to enhance relaxation.

Nail Polish (Optional): Toenails can be painted with a base coat, color polish, and top coat, or they can be left natural and buffed to a shine.
